The Gathering of Peak Performance Techniques
aOne of the main contributors to this exploration began with a break up.
The end of a long term relationship that was great on so many levels yet not right at the core.
How did things get here? Why were these choices made? What made it not work?
Why does it hurt so much and most importantly, "How can I not do this again?"
I utilized talk therapy to hash out the logical and intellectual reasons, craniosacral therapy to address unresolved emotional blocks, traumas and tissue level restrictions in the body, and then learned about brain integration techniques that directly addressed the learning and behavioral aspects of healing.
Alongside the personal exploration, I was working with occupational therapy clients in the rehab arena. I was working with clients of all ages, who had experienced accidents, birth traumas, developmental and daily life functioning challenges using all of these aforementioned techniques. The results were amazing and profound.
Doing this work with many people helped me to move into a sense of purpose, with the question of "Why do some people heal easily and others remain sick/in pain?" quickly taking main stage. This question lead me to deepen the study of Educational Kinesiology (Brain Gym®), which utilizes movement to change the brain and remove learning blocks. It seemed many individuals had blocks around their ability to heal because they didn't have access to the thinking habits of HOW to be a healthy person. The habitual thoughts and movement patterns that permeated their lives fostered a way of being that lead them to illness rather than health and ease.
Combining the physical and emotional benefits of craniosacral therapy with the neurological reorganizing of habitual movements and behaviors proved to be a winning combination that addressed each clients unique physical/mental/emotional/spiritual/behavioral needs and had a tremendous and lasting effect on the individual's life.
